Frequently Asked Questions

Lid is not lifting with pedal.

Replace the damper and/or damper pusher. To replace:

  1. Remove the blue bucket and purple liner pocket.
  2. Remove the damper pusher by snapping it off the metal rod.
  3. Install the damper into the housing.
  4. To install the new damper pusher, ensure the cut out on the pusher aligns with the small notch on the metal rod.
  5. Snap on the damper pusher and make sure it is secure on the rod. Damper pusher should not be able to slide up and down.

How to clean the inner bucket

Remove the inner bucket and soak with diluted household bleach and water solution to take away the smell caused by germs and bacteria. Baking soda solution may work too. Most liquid bleach bottles have instructions and directions printed

Cleaning and Maintenance

Clean stainless steel weekly with a soft cloth, warm water and a mild detergent. DO NOT use steel wool, stainless steel polisher, bleach, salts or acids as these will damage the product. Or use our microfiber mitt, which just uses water on one side to wash and the other dry side to wipe and polish. Our stickers should not leave residue, but if this happens, remove using adhesive removers such as “Goo-Gone®”, “Un-du®” or “De-solv-it®”. Be sure to rinse the area with water and dry with a soft cloth.
