The inner plastic tray is designed for optimum draining with a hydrophilic coating that spreads water thinly across the surface for super-fast evaporation plus a central stainless steel drain that takes care of the rest — and it unscrews for easy cleaning!
Got a lot of dishes? Our compact steel frame dishrack may look small, but it has enough capacity to handle it!
We lowered the profile and added anti-slip rubber feet to give this dishrack greater stability so it stays in place on your countertop.
It's not enough to look good when it's brand new. We test our materials to stay clean and beautiful for years of use!
In general, we do not recommend placing the dishrack parts in the dishwasher. Plastic can deform under intense heat. Some parts may be dishwasher safe. Please refer to the product descriptions on the simplehuman.com web site. If you don't see the words dishwasher safe, it is not. You can safely clean your dishrack with warm water and vinegar.
If your dishrack is rusting, it's possible it's due to the use of harsh chemicals or abrasives (i.e. Clorox wipes, Mr. Clean Brush) as these can damage the coating. We DO NOT recommend using any of these products.
Yes, the wine glass holder is easily detachable from the steel frame dishrack.
In order to maintain and keep any plastic part clean, we recommend soaking them in a solution of warm water, vinegar, and baking soda for half an hour or more. Feel free to rinse away and wipe off any residue or buildup.
We strongly recommend against exposing the plastic parts to a high amount of heat or placing them in a dishwasher.
We recommend cleaning stainless steel weekly with a soft cloth, warm water, and a mild detergent. Afterwards, feel free to rinse the steel with clean water and wipe it dry with a soft and absorbent cloth. We strongly recommend never using steel wool, bleach, salts, or acids to clean stainless steel. Do not use steel wool to wipe your stainless steel, it will scratch the surface. Do not allow bleach, salts, or acids to come in contact with the steel as it will discolor the product.
