Clean the sensor area with a damp cloth, then dry.
Make sure nothing is obstructing the sensor underneath the pump.
Try relocating the pump to avoid interference from bright lighting.
Will the pump work with rechargeable batteries?
Rechargeable batteries are not recommended, as they are not alkaline batteries. Most rechargeable batteries put out less than 1.5V per cell even when they are fully charged. Some rechargeable batteries do not have enough capacity to turn the pump resulting in low dispensing volume and shorter battery life. A low-battery warning light may appear prematurely.
Red light turns on while soap dispenses or stays solid red.
Replace with fresh alkaline batteries, ensure proper orientation, and try again.
If there’s rust on the battery cover or terminals, gently scrape it away using a flathead screwdriver or steel wool. Check and clean batteries as well. If rust cannot be removed, order a new battery cover.
