  • Troubleshooting

    • Unit not charging.

      What might be wrong

      A. Cable or power source may be damaged.
      B. Charging puck may not be attached properly

      You can try

      A. Inspect cable for any abnormalities. If seen, discontinue use and contact support.
      B. Ensure the head of the charging puck is properly attached to the charging dock. The cord should be facing away from the dispensing valve. Try a working USB power adapter rated at 5 V and 1 A.

    • Unit not dispensing or dispensing small amounts of foam.

      What might be wrong

      A. Foam cartridge openings are obstructed.
      B. Volume setting too low. (ST1038, ST1039, ST1040, ST1041, ST1042 first-generation foam pumps only)
      C. Needs to re-prime.
      D. Soap intake tube is blocked.

      You can try

      A. Peel the sticker off the foam cartridge and ensure no adhesive residue is covering the openings.
      B. Press the power button to increase the volume setting and try again.
      C. Press and hold the power button down for 5 seconds. Then wipe the sensor lens clean (we recommend using rubbing alcohol and a microfiber cloth to do so). Press the power button for 1 second to turn the unit on. Completely cover the sensor window and tap the power button quickly 3 times. Note that this will make the pump run continuously until the sensor window is uncovered.
      D. Release the cartridge, turn your pump upside down and insert the priming tool (or a thin object, e.g., toothpick, paperclip, etc.) into the opening between the two orange clips. Apply light pressure, and this will clear the tube allowing soap to flow into the pump.

You can also try to prime your sensor pump by:
Placing your hand under the sensor about 7 times on the lowest setting. Ensure your hand is placed within the scope of the sensor. Remove the cartridge and inspect it to ensure that the cartridge straw has not fallen out.

If you are still having trouble, watch our video on how to get your dispenser flowing.

    • Liquid is being dispensed instead of foam.

      What might be wrong

      1. Pre-filled soap cartridge may be faulty.
      2. Straw size is incorrect on refillable cartridge.
      3. Air intake tube is blocked.

      You can try

      1. Switch to a new pre-filled cartridge.
      2. You can try switching the color straw. The refillable cartridge comes with 3 different color straws.
      3. Release the soap cartridge from sensor pump. Use your finger to cover up the air intake tube (under the pump between the two orange hooks). Then make sure the pump is on and tap the power button quickly 3 times. (Note: this will make the pump run continuously until the sensor window is uncovered.)
Watch our video on how to eliminate watery soap.
