they're magnets...and they're adorable. they sit quite peacefully atop our simplehuman trash can that acts as a respectable (although less than obvious...that's where the magnets help) recycle bin. they've helped many anxious guests navigate the mult-can lineup we've got across our kitchen wall.

I'm currently only using two of the six magnets, the trash and recycling one. My only suggestion is to make them bigger. You have to look closely at the cans to know which is which. But I like them.

I was thrilled to find these since I've been trying to design a DIY version for years! I have two identical white step cans in my kitchen and guests would ask, "Which is the trash? The left or the right?" I made my own magnets by printing clip art, laminating and using a magnet on the back. That was an ok solution, but they would get dirty, fall off easily and just looked crummy. These magnets are super strong, hold up to frequent cleaning and just look really great. Can a trash can magnet be sleek and sophisticated...oh yes it can!

i love these magnets :-) they are very practical, but cute. helpful for guests to know which bin is which (and for teaching children).
