It is beautiful to look at. It does not show finger prints. The size is perfect for the kitchen. It is very well made. I love the quiet closure.

I love the ease of use and safe closure, no banging because the hydraulic closure does it very slowly. I also love the lock for holding the can open. It is heavy duty and I expect it to last forever. I think the smaller one would have worked but this is the nicest size for a large family.

I have a golden retriever who has been able to get into every trash can I've ever owned. Not this bad boy. Since I purchased the Butterfly step can, my dog hasn't been able to get into the trash once.

This is my second Simple Human trashcan and I wouldn't buy anything else. I have a big dog that can open almost any trashcan and this product has kept him out! This can replaced my first can because the hinges that were attached to a plastic lid eventually cracked. Now that the lid is stainless steel, I no longer worry that this top will crack. I also really like that the lid opens from two sides instead of one. That feature allows me the ability to stick the can under a counter and not have the lid smack the counter top. (That was another reason I replaced my old can.) The only issue I have had with this can is both rubber ends to the arms that keep the lid open have fallen off. I would highly recommend this product, it's well worth the money!
