Will you ship outside of the United States?

Currently, we only accept phone and online orders to addresses in the United States. Shipments to Hawaii, Alaska and A.P.O addresses are subject to additional freight charges.

Are your products available in Canada?

Yes. You can obtain a variety of our products at Home Outfitters across Canada, as well as some small independent stores. (Check out our retail locator here.) For information regarding a specific product's availability contact us or the store directly.

I ordered the wrong item, what do I do?

You can give us a call at 888-988-8880 or email us at support@simplehuman.com and we will be happy to cancel or modify your order, if the order has not yet shipped.

General Product Questions

How do I register my product if I received it as a gift?

You can register your product online at simplehuman.com. As for the dated proof of purchase, you can send in a digital photo as your proof of purchase.

How do I clean my can?

Our waste cans are made from stainless steel and should clean up easily with warm water and a soft cloth. Our micro-fiber sponge mitt dampened with water is especially effective for cleaning stainless steel without leaving any streak marks.

Do your cans take standard kitchen trash bags from the grocery store?

Yes, our cans are designed to work with standard bags. For example a standard tall kitchen bag will fit our butterfly step can very well. Our kitchen cans all have a standard ‘hideaway’ frame on which the bucket rests, and where any excess bag can be gathered together and tucked away

I purchased your liners and noticed there are holes on the top. What is the purpose of these holes?

The holes in the liners are done by design to release trapped air that results when a new bag is put into a can. The holes eliminate the bulging effect, thereby maximizing the total capacity of each bag. We've tested the design extensively, and there's no risk of tearing, or breaking of the bag because of the holes. In fact, the bag seems more likely to be torn when there are no holes, because with the bulging, people need to force things into the bag.

Aside from your website, where can I purchase your sure-fit liners?

Bed Bath and Beyond, The Container Store and select Lowe’s Hardware store locations are some retailers that carry our liners and products. Please check with each store location for size and stock availability.
