This product is well designed and well constructed. I like that the drain tray is removable and washable. It fits neatly in my large, deep sink to hold rinsed dishes before loading them in dishwasher.

I've had the charcoal grey plastic version of this rack for about 8yrs...still going strong but wanting to change the look in my kitchen so I'm switching to the white/open model. The only difference is the spout style. The prior model had a long plastic spout that could swivel from one side to the other and easily removed with a single screw underneath for cleaning. I'm not sure if I like the new spout design but do like how the white plastic bottom will hide hard water stains. Hope this one lasts as long as the prior model.

My two complaints are with the plastic tray which is very hard to clean and there is always water left in the bottom, which has caused an unclean-able discoloration. The water that sits in the tray has rusted portions of the spout.

I love the way it looks but it is EXTREMELY difficult to keep clean. Black mold builds up in the enclosed draining areas. I tried using baking soda and dish washing detergent. I soaked and scrubbed but the mold returns. I even purchased tiny brushes to clean the nooks and cervices of this rack. Since this rack is so difficult to keep clean and a potential bio-hazard I would NOT recommend this product to anyone. Simple Human should redesign this rack so it can be cleaned easily and avoid mold problems.

Bought this the second I saw it was by simplehuman because I knew it would work, and it did. It fits my stainless sink perfectly, is easy to disassemble for cleaning purposes, and is the perfect size for my needs. The best news: it doesn't rust.

This dish rack is well built but not well though out. The water drains into the underneath of the rack that is completely closed in. Mold builds up in this area and you cant clean it out. Before I stopped using this dish drain completely due to moldy frustration, I had to spray it inside the underneath to get rid of the mold that builds up. You cant get into every area so there are some areas that retain mold no matter how hard you try to Clorox it out. It is also pricey to have as an ornament in my garage now.

We have a small home which requires careful consideration on any purchase, right down to a dish drainer. We also are self employed small business owners with little time, so efficiency is important! Not only is this drainer perfect for our small home in it's performance, it looks great and is sturdy too! Like anything from Simplehuman, it truly IS a tool for efficient living! We also have a trash can we purchased over ten years ago. When it was eight years old, the lid spring kit broke. An email to the company by my husband explaining the issue resulted in a BRAND NEW UP GRADED trash can at no charge! As business owners, we appreciate a company that truly stands behind a product and delivers a quality product, along with a customer service detail that is second to none. Many Simplehuman items are on my Christmas list to Santa this year!

It fits compactly on the counter top.It;s there to be used all the time.The size is perfect and it looks very neat.The water from the utensils and dishes goes right into the sink.I have used a product like this before and it works for me.

Well made fits sink perfect

Got this one to put in the sink and the slim one on the counter. Had to take this one out of sink because it blocked the sink drain. Did not realize that the bottom of rack was solid except for the drain at the end.

I bought this for my daughter's townhouse. Her kitchen is quite nice, but the counter space near her sink is quite short, so this fits nicely. I have the larger size and have used it for years with no problems whatsoever. They are well worth the money as they are very high quality.

This is a big improvement to the plain dish drainer I was using before. It's not too big but still holds a lot. It looks good on the counter and the little spout is a great feature!

We bought this drain rack to replace our 7 year old simplehuman compact rack that just finally said quit. The drain lip is now metal and the undercarriage seems stronger than the earlier model. The simple style, small size and longevity keep me buying simplehuman products.

Clear, clean, nicely made, this is a perfect rack for our small sink. After years of replacing stained plastic racks it is worth spending a little more for such a nice one.

This dish drainer is fantastic. I can't beleive how much I like it and enjoy doing the dishes. It fits nicely on my counter top. I like the silverware holder and the fact that the dishes don't fall out of the rack as they did with other brands I have had. The metal doesn't rust and it's pretty to look at. I think this is my favorite kitchen utensil.

This dishrack is the perfect size for my sink. I like a rack I can leave in the sink all the time. It drains perfectly and holds so much more than any other rack I have used. I'm very pleased with it and when and IF it ever needs replacing, I hope simplehuman is still making this one!

This is a well-made compact dishrack. Fits perfectly in sink, and doesn't take up much counter space. Only complaints are that 1) the plastic tray is very hard to clean, and 2) it doesn't drain very well - there is always water left in the bottom, which is annoying - and only part of the tray actually drains into the spout. Would be a much better product if the entire tray drained cleanly. But otherwise a very nice product.

The Simple compact dish rack was exactly as described - fit perfectly within half of my double sink - and looks just dandy. Just as I hoped. The product is of excellent quality and has an elegant design. I couldn't be more pleased.

I like this drainer because I leave it in the sink and the legs are tall enough that the clean dishes don't touch the bottom on the sink, and when I'm rinsing dishes the drainer is up high enough that the water doesn't touch the clean dishes. My pet peeve with other drainers is that the legs are not tall enough to keep clean dishes from coming in contact with the water from when I am rinsing.

The dish rack works perfectly in our rather small, one compartment sink. Dishes wouldn't dry in our old rack, but the higher legs and ventilated rack enable adequate drying. The quality of the rack is premium, too.

I liked the dish rack. It was stylish and looked nice on my counter. I couldn't use it, however, because I have a top mount sink and the drain wouldn't drain. The rack rested on my counter yet the drain portion was raised due to the height of the sink so the water drained back onto the rack. It would work ok I think if I had an under mount sink. That should be listed in the description of the product since it cost me $14 to return it.

I love this dishrack--it fits my sink, is sturdy, nice looking, has a separate receptacle for silverware. It comes with a draining spout for those who set the dishrack on their counter rather than in the sink.

The bottom of the old one was so funky and un-cleanable I got a new one. New one came without the cup rack on the side, and a much larger cup for silverware. I made a promise to myself I won't let the bottom of this one get dirty, ever. That's because it's really really hard to clean. It has its drawbacks but just happens to be the best for this particular household.

Love that this dish rack fits into my small sink, however I wish the bottom drainpan had more of a slope. I find that water pools up below the rack and I always have to wash all the water slime away...booooo.

This is the 2nd time I have purchased this item. Because of its compact size, it fits perfectly "in" my kitchen sink. The quality is superb so I expect this dish rack to last for as many years as the first one did. Very sturdy and worth the money spent.

I love the open style. The utensil basket can be moved around to suit the user. The single small drain spout means no more water on the counter. I love it so much I carry a photo with me to show friends.

I live on a boat and space is important, but so is dryness. I spent a lot of time on the simple human site deciding on the right rack and measuring my space. I had a dish rack I absolutely loved from OXO, but the welds finally gave out. I got the compact one because i knew it would fit, but was concerned because I had heard others say that it leaked. I could see it was constructed well and the welds looked strong. I liked the fact that the spout was removable to clean since the rubber on my old one turned black even though I cleaned it regularly. I wanted the beautiful ones with the solid stainless sides, but they were just a 1/2 an inch too big. I also needed it to be non skid which it is since it has silicone foot pads. I like the dish rack, don't love it. When you look at it in the enlarged pictures the pan looks like it has grooves, like rivulets running to the middle of the tray. These in real life are just raised bumps. The only real drain is exactly in the middle, but does a great job of draining when you only have a small amount of dishes. The thing I loved about the OXO dish rack I had is that I could over load that sucker and not worry that water would run out over the sides. Unfortunately, and I sooooo wanted to love this and give it a great review, if you don't have the dishes right in the middle or piled on top of the dishes in the middle. The water will run out over the sides. There is not a real lip to the tray and the tray itself doesn't go all the way to the edges of the wired sides anyway, so you can't use all the space available in the wired sides. I also had to modify the cutlery basket and zip tie it to the outside otherwise there is very little room for dishes. I made another drip tray out of an aluminum foil tray to catch what comes from the basket. So these are the changes I would make if I were in R and D at simple human 1. I would make the plastic drip tray extendable out over the sides so the whole disrack could be used. 2. Make the "fake" rivulets real so all the water can drain quickly to the middle 3, I would make the basket attach to the outside where the extendable drip tray could be used to catch drips from the basket. 4. Since you are adding the extendable drip trays put a few of your clever snap glass holders around the sides. 5. Make one side of the basket a knife holder. 6. Have a plastic bag dryer attachment. In a small space it is hard to dry those bags! I think these things would make this rack fantastic. It is well made, looks good and fits on the counter, but really I have more space behind it. It could have been 4 inches longer (deeper) on the backside of where the drain is. I had to compromise because non of the dish racks at simple human would fit except for this one and I really wanted Simple Human. When we lived on land we had everything from SH. Just great, great stuff they make! What I really wish is they made the beautiful high end racks in different sizes, then they wouldn't have to scrap the design of the compact dish rack. Again, I am soooo sorry I don't love it. I thought it was going to be the answer! Now I have to use it, hope it breaks which I don't see that happening anytime soon, or wait til we get a bigger boat to get one of the huge dish racks.

Is perfect for an apartment. Use it every day Does not get dirty like plastic does. Am tickled with it. Would not have anything else.

The size is great for small or older (pre-1970s) counters. Two of us use it everyday and it holds our dishes from dawn to dusk. Clever use of space with glass holders and attachments. Well made. We have just replaced the same model from 2004. Small, but important details have been addressed. Looks great, too!

Even though it is very small, it holds more items than much larger dish drains. I think it is because of the high sides....ALSO keeps water off the counter top and directs it to the sink.

Having been frustrated and unhappy with the standard Rubbermaid drainers, this product was quite a find! While it is designed for counter top use, it fits in our second kitchen sink quite nicely and drains very well. It holds so much more than other styles and is more versatile. Extremely study and attractive - we love it. I had a concern that it wouldn't dry sufficiently and perhaps mold or otherwise have moisture problems, but so far not the case. The bottom is easily removable and washable so no problems there. I only wish the company made a knife block that would fit the cutlery holder!!

Everything about this dishrack is perfect for me. It's sleek and functional, and it hold tons of dishes and kitchen stuff. It's very cleverly designed, too. Love it.

The dish rack fit our needs almost perfectly. It's made of high quality material and is the perfect, snug size, and we especially like that its plastic parts can go in the dishwasher. My only suggestion would be to redesign the utensil holder slightly so it can also hang more securely on the outside. We hang it on the outside sometimes to give us more room on the inside of the rack, but it can become unbalanced and spill the utensils if we put a heavier utensil -- a serving spoon or a spatula -- on one side of the holder without sufficient counter-weight on the other side. But on the whole, we love it and since we bought it have bought another product from simplehuman that we like just as well.

The drainer is one of the best I've had, it is easy to clean and doesn't take up a great deal of counter space.

Picked this item for it's small size since it was to be used in one side of a double sink. Fits perfect and it can be used on top of the counter when necessary and the built in drain spout directs water right into the sink. After two months of use have had no issues with it.

finally found a compact size dishrack that not only looks "cute", but also can handle loads....good design ,quality material,would recommend it highly!

This is my second simplehuman compact dishrack. I love the design and the look, but the plastic comes apart at the seams very easily. Next time I'll buy something with solid construction.

I have a large dishrack, that I love, that is also simplehuman. I saw this little rack for everyday use and bought it right away. Its a perfect size for washing the few dishes from coffee or breakfast; and I can let it set out and not have it in the way. Also the fact that it is stainless steel is also the reason I bought it. I hate chrome!!It always looks bad with rust spots and ages quickly. Simplehumans racks still look new and I have had my large one several years and the little guy quite a few months. Love them.

It fits my sink as if it had been custom made and it is very easy to keep clean. It stays looking brand new!

Does the job and fits inside my sink, which was imperative for me since I want to keep my counter free of a dish rack. On another note, I am NOT pleased with the email or phone customer service at simplehuman. I can't get through on the phone and get NO response on email. Frustrating. Please contact me.

This dishrack delivers all I expected and then some. The design is handsome and works. Water from drying dishes does not drip onto the counter thanks to a fitted metal tray with a spout that allows drainage directly into the sink. The rack cleans easily and its best feature for my kitchen is that when I need additional counter space I lift the whole rack with content into one of my sink basins and due to the solid, deep basket construction nothing falls out. This was a well worth purchase.

I am a demanding consumer and always do a lot of research before I buy a product. I had been looking for ages for just the dishrack for items I don't put in dishwasher, and did not want a gigantic one. This dishrack is stylish, compact and highly functional. It looks great on the counter top, is well made and easy to maintain a clean appearance. If you need a dishrack for every day or occasional use, this is a great one. I also like the stainless steel, as it won't ever chip like the plastic coated kind.

This is a dishrack attractive enough to leave out on the counter at all times. The knife drainer is a terrific attachement. The only "issue" is that the self-draining feature works only when there is no lip on the drain.

Nice size, nice looking, but unfortunate design results in water leaking directly beneath the tray...right in the middle. The way the thing is designed, the metal drip tray is held in place by a plastic rail which apparently is glued to the underside. If the plastic rail comes loose by whatever causes it to, water leaks out. Unfortunate

This was our second dish rack and we love it

The size is perfect for a small counter area. It's easy to keep clean looking,attractive and durable.

I am really pleased with this item and don't mind letting it rest atop my counter. It's sized to fit inside the sink also, should you choose to disquise the drying dishes. The feature that sold me on this rack was the integrated "drip tray/plate rack" that can be removed for cleaning. This is an easy tray to look at, and I'm so happy to be without the bulky, bisque-colored, drain boards of yesteryear. My simplehuman directs water into the sink, I don't have to clean up puddled water from my counter anymore!
