Read reviews before buying this trash can. I wanted a can that would fit against a floor cupboard in our kitchen and take up less space and still accommodate a week's worth of trash. This is the best, no more changing bags a couple times a week! The brushed style matches all our other appliances and it really does not show any fingerprints. Opens and closes without a sound. Bag change is simple, no more pulling out the whole liner to replace the bag. And you never see a bag either when the lid is down. Great trash can!

this can fits perfect with our small home. the ease of how it opens is amazing.actually had to get used to it because our old can took lots of pressure to open.thought it to be a bit pricey but I guess you get what you pay for and we are definitely happy with our new simplehuman half round trash can for the kitchen

A great trash can! Well made - easy to use -looks good - just right size - will last years and years. I especially like the "park" position of the inner bucket for easy bag removal/replacment. I like it so well I plan to buy a second "butterfly" can in the near future for the kitchen and move this one to the garage for recyclables. It is a bit pricey but you get what you pay for and I highly recommend it - buy one! - you will not be disappointed!

My husband and I have been looking for a stainless steel trash can ever since we moved into our new home back in December. Try as we might, none of the trash cans we came across seemed to fit the bill. Thankfully simplehuman sent us an email with a great savings code and we were instantly drawn to this incredible semi-round trash can. The removable insert has made cleaning out the fridge so much easier, instead of have to haul the entire housing over. Not having to clean off fingerprints has also been a great time saver and we get so many compliments on the trash can when our friends sand family come over. This is the best trash can ever! It's well made and stands up to the wear and tear of being a kitchen trash can. It is also nice to look at and easy to keep clean. My 4 year old grandson thinks the self closing lid is "magic".

i purchased this trash can after buying a smaller one for our bathroom. Love the "slow close" and "fingerprint free" features. We use the larger version in our kitchen and is just the best trash can. My only issue, which applies to both trash cans, is that the cans should be wall hugging. If I have the can too close to the wall, the lid hits the wall when I step on the lever. There is a convenient handle on the backside of the can. I only wish that the handle was a little larger to accomodate for the space needed so that the lid does not hit the wall.

This can was placed in a brand new renovated kitchen. It looks wonderful. It works well and if you can love a trash can I love this one!

This is by far the nicest trash can I have ever had. Well worth the money. I would recommend this trash can to anyone looking to buy one. The custom trash bags fit perfectly. It looks great all my friends have commented on how wonderful it looks. Its a good size and is very well made.

This is the best trash can I have ever owned. I was tired of replacing other vendors cans. This one with the all metal operating parts should last for a very long time. Also, the soft close feature is very nice. I am very happy with my purchase.

It's so wonderful to never have to touch the top of the can, never have to listen to the lid bang closed. It even somehow holds more trash than our previous can of the same size, did. We have preschoolers and it's simple and sturdy enough for them to use - & fingerprint free! Well worth the expense.

Unsightly bags no more with this simple human can! And it doesn't slam down on my hand.The other good-looking metal cans I have bought over the past years promised that the bag could be tucked in, but it didn't work. The slow-close feature is great. I will continue to buy the bags as they are inexpensive and fit perfectly. Best can in 20 years of expensive metal cans! Makes one of the worst chores 3 times easier!

I never thought I would write a review of a trash can! It is that good. Our mid-thirties ("we've seen it all") childern visited and kept going to the kitchen to play with the trash can. It works exactly the way you want it to and it is good looking.

The build quality and function of this can are excellent. When moving into our new home we looked for a can that would fit perfectly in one spot of our kitchen...this was it. My even said that this was one of the best things we purchased for our new home...its scary that our ages we get excited about a trash can but this is was the case for us. Highly recommended...now we need to get the recycling can ;)

Exactly as described.Sleek looking.Love the self-closing lid. It doesn't slam shut. Easy to keep clean. A bit hard to get a full bag of trash out of the can, though.
